Letting go of the past

Talks & guided meditations
Sep, Sat 1st | 10:00 to 13:30 | with Kadam Adam | at O’Rahilly Building, UCC (Main-Campus), Cork, room ORB_255

Discover the power of meditation and living mindfully to enable us to let go of the past and move confidently towards the future we want.

We can all have trouble letting go of the memory of painful events in our past and this can affect the way we respond to our present life & relationships. Whether its simply an argument with a friend or family member, or some other painful life event, we can find it hard to fully let go. We blame situations, ourselves or others and can remain stuck in a state of frustration, anger and hurt, which can prevent us moving forward and fully enjoying our life.

In this day course Kadam Adam will explain how training in meditation and living mindfully enables us to discover the real source of pain and difficulty within our minds. We will learn how to finally release it completely, leaving us with a deep feeling of inner peace, mental freedom and genuine happiness. In this way we can learn to let go of the past and move forward to the peaceful, happy and fulfilling future we would want. Suitable for beginners and those with more experience, the morning includes talks and guided meditations, with time for Q&A.

Countryside meditation retreat –
The healing power of love

Talks & guided meditations
Sep, Fri 7th to Sun 9th | with Kadam Adam | The Stables, Newcastle Demense, Ballymahon, Co. Longford

welcome4

Take a relaxing weekend break from it all, and discover the healing power of meditation on love to help us solve our problems, improve our relationships and find deep and lasting inner peace and genuine happiness.

Love is not just something we find, it’s a natural quality of our own minds. On this meditation retreat we will discover – through our own experience – how we can all learn to connect with this natural quality of love, cultivate it and strengthen it. Through this experience we will realise how it naturally improves our inner peace, happiness, well being and relationships with others.

We will learn meditations and practises for daily life from the Buddhist meditation tradition that have proven effective for centuries in enabling everyone (Buddhist and non-Buddhist alike) to discover the healing power of love. We will also explore a special meditation practise for improving our love and compassion, as well as healing body and mind, known as taking and giving upon the breath meditation.

The retreat program

Set in the beautiful countryside setting of The Stables, Newcastle Demense, Ballymahon, Co. Longford, the meditation retreat starts with an introduction session at 7.30pm on Friday, 7th Sept. The retreat finishes at 1pm on Sunday, 9th Sep.

In each retreat session Kadam Adam will explain clearly how to engage in the particular meditation and its benefits for our daily life. Then he will guide each meditation, enabling us to gain deep experience of each meditation and its benefits. There will also be time for Q&A.

During the breaks you can take a peaceful walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Also, you can simply relax or chat with the other people on the retreat, in what is always a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.

Clear mind, peaceful heart

Talks & guided meditations
Oct, Sat 13th | 10:00 to 13:30 | with Kadam Adam | at G15 Western Gateway Building, Western Rd, Cork

Discover how to connect to the natural peace, clarity and potential of our minds through the practise of a special and highly practical meditation known as ‘The clarity of the mind’ meditation.

We will explore how this experience enables us to easily let go of unhealthy states of mind such as anxiety and fear, as well as perceived faults and limiting beliefs that we may hold about ourself. We will also see how this experience enables us to develop confidence in our ability to cultivate our inner potential for good qualities, inner peace and happiness.

Also, we will explore how this experience opens the door to gaining insight into the true nature of things, including ourself. We will realise that we are not as fixed, stuck or limited as we can often feel we are. In truth, we all exist in a state of profound freedom and limitless potential for positive change. Connecting with this sense of freedom and potential, we become confident that we can change and live the truly peaceful, happy and fulfilling life we would want.

Healing the heart, awakening our potential
& Buddha Vajrasattva Empowerment

November, Fri 2nd – Sun 4th | with Kadam Bridget Heyes | Dublin (Venue coming soon)

Everyone is warmly welcome to join the Irish Dharma Celebration 2018, which sees people gather from all over Ireland every year. It offers a unique opportunity to enjoy a deeply relaxing and inspiring weekend of practical teachings of modern Buddhism (as well as guided meditations) with internationally renowned Kadampa Buddhist teacher, Kadam Bridget Heyes.

Kadam Bridget will explain how we can all take control of the direction of our lives by understanding and living in accordance with the law of Karma. She will grant the blessing empowerment (on Saturday) and introduce us to the special meditation practise of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification. This empowers us to deeply purify, or heal, the karma that gives rise to our present suffering and problems and find deep and lasting inner peace and happiness.

Also, she will explain how we can all learn to connect to and fully awaken our spiritual potential for good qualities – such as love, compassion & wisdom. In this way, we can develop the confidence that we and all others can become free of suffering, problems and fears, and move towards the happy and fulfilling life we all long for. Everyone is welcome, whether beginners or those with more experience of meditation & Buddhism.
