A life beyond self-criticism & guilt

Talks & guided meditations
Nov, Sat 23rd | 10:00 – 13:30 | with Kadam Adam | at The Dublin Chamber of Commerce, 7 Clare Street, Dublin 2

Whilst we all know we can be our own harshest critic at times, and feel stuck carrying around feelings of guilt in our hearts, there is no reason why we need to remain this way. We can all learn how to be truly at peace with ourselves and life, free from any unhealthy self-criticism and guilt.

In this meditation half-day course, we will explore the mistaken perceptions of ourselves and life that presently underpin our habits of self-criticism and guilt. We will learn how we can all use meditation and improving our mindfulness in daily life, to recognise, reduce and let go of these unhelpful, and mistaken habits of mind. We will also explore how to get in touch with our true nature, and in this way develop confidence in the potential we all have within our hearts for great peace of mind, happiness and good qualities, free from self-criticism, guilt and other disturbing emotions. In this way our daily life becomes a life beyond self-criticism and guilt, a life of ever increasing inner peace, joy and contentment.

Suitable for beginners and those with more experience, the morning includes talks and guided meditations, with time for Q&A. No need to bring anything, except a notebook and pen if you wish to take some notes. Dress code is whatever you’re comfortable in. Chairs provided for everyone.

Course fee: €30 | €20 for Tara KMC supporting members & study programme students
Includes refreshments

Public talk –
Meditation & the pursuit of happiness

Talk & guided meditation
Thursday, Dec 5th | 7:30pm – 8:45pm | with Kadam Adam | at Huckletree, The Academy, 42 Pearse St, Dublin, D02 YX88

Discover how meditation and improving our mindfulness in daily life, can help everyone find a deep and lasting inner peace, happiness and sense of fulfilment in our lives. We all want to be happy and free from problems all the time. If we check, we devote almost all our time and energy to this pursuit. Yet, still we can all feel something is missing in our life at times, and that we have not yet found the deep and lasting peace of mind, happiness and fulfilment on the inside that we all seek.

In this special public talk, Kadam Adam will explain how everyone can learn how to meditate, improve their mindfulness and discover for themselves, that it is entirely possible to fulfil these wishes. We will realise that training in meditation and mindfulness enables everyone to cultivate a new found, and growing sense of inner peace, mental freedom and genuine happiness to bring to all areas of our life, from the “inside-out”. The event will include a talk on this topic and a deeply relaxing guided meditation. Everyone is welcome.

Path to Happiness

Talks & guided meditations
Dec, Sun 8th | 10:00 – 13:30 | with Kadam Adam | at The Dublin Chamber of Commerce, 7 Clare Street, Dublin 2

Join us for a very special pre-Christmas meditation half-day course with Kadam Adam. We all have the potential for self-transformation and a limitless capacity for the growth of good qualities, inner peace and happiness. However, to fulfill this potential we need to know what to do at every stage of our spiritual journey.

On this course, we will explore the three principal stages – taught by Buddha, and later the great Tibetan meditation master Je Tsongkhapa – of how to begin, make progress and complete this inner journey to deep and lasting peace and happiness.

In particular, Kadam Adam will share essential insights and practises from the special teachings received at the recent Kadampa international festival in Arizona, from Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which are a commentary, and additional explanations to his latest book ‘The Mirrror of Dharma’.

Everyone is welcome. Our compassion is our Buddha seed or Buddha nature, our potential to become a Buddha. Through meditation we can extend and deepen our compassion until it transforms into the mind of universal compassion – the sincere wish to liberate all living beings from suffering permanently.
